London Contemporary Voices (LCV) is a leading UK choir with a unique contemporary sound. We’re well known as one of the most diverse professional choirs in the world. Our singers come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and lived experiences, reflecting the diversity of London. We work on a broad range of artistic projects, events and campaigns across all genres. LCV Choir was founded by artists Ilā Kamalagharan (fka. Anil Sebastian) and Didier Rochard, for Imogen Heap's concert Love The Earth at the Royal Albert Hall in 2010. Since then, LCV has worked with 150+ artists including 30+ Grammy winners and nominees. LCV has featured on two UK Top Ten albums (including a UK No. 1), plus a Grammy-nominated soundtrack and multiple national/international campaigns. We have performed at the BBC Proms three times.
The LCV Choir Jams Project is the weekly choir element of LCV. As we emerged from an elongated Covid-enforced hibernation in 2023, we started monthly social singing sessions. As the monthly sessions progressed, it became clear that lots of the singers were keen to restart a weekly choir culminating in regular termly concerts. The first LCV Choir Jams Project term took place in the summer of 2024, and is now an established part of LCV. The Choir Jams Project provides a gateway for excellent amateur singers to progress to singing alongside LCV's professional choirs, and also gives a flavour of the range of music covered by LCV as we have singers from a wide range of musical backgrounds.
LCV has worked with an array of artists across a broad range of genres including Florence + The Machine, U2, ABBA (Voyage show), Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, Sir Tom Jones, Jools Holland and Emile Sandé.

For 2025 we have chosen to fundraise for the South East Cancer Help Centre. In the words of one of our soprano singers
"Many of of members have been affected by this awful disease in the past year, and as there are many different variations, the South East Cancer Help Centre are amazing as they help those affected by cancer, and their families, to cope with their situation"
Please help as much as you can
SECHC aims to give any person affected by cancer an opportunity to explore ways which may help them to cope with their situation. Confidentiality is always maintained. The Centre aims to respect and support them in the choices they make and to provide individual and group support, complementary therapies and information within a friendly, caring environment.
These services have local NHS recognition.
Our policy is to provide time and support in addition to that available from healthcare professionals at a nominal cost to the Member.
We give information but not advice about cancer and its treatment.
Our strategy is to remain a well managed independent charity, staffed predominantly by trained Volunteers, with professional guidance and support. We aim to be well known and respected in our community. We seek to retain sufficient financial reserves to cope with fluctuations in fundraising and grant aid.
Our Registered charity number is 1011509.
